The Liberty Riders are a nonprofit group whose goal is to further good horsemanship and good citizenship in local young people. We are a Christian based group that performs opening ceremonies for rodeos and other equine events to the music of Johnny Cash’s “Ragged Old Flag”.  Our performances are dedicated to our veterans and soldiers serving overseas.  The group is comprised of a number of experienced young riders, some beginning riders, and some kids with special needs.  As stated in our motto our older more experienced kids help the younger and beginner riders.  In 2009 we performed at the Siloam Springs Rodeo, the Special Kids’ Rodeo, a Championship Bull Riding in Missouri, the Washington County Fair Horse Show, and at a Cowboy Crossroads in Christ meeting. We also have ridden in trail rides and grand entries in the area.   Anyone interested in horsemanship and riding is invited to join.  Most of our members are kids between 10 and 18.
