Misty River Hounds will be hosting the bi-annual foxhunt training day on August 1^st, 9-11:30am.Instructors will divide participants into several groups of first and second flight riders based on horse/rider experience. Groups of 5-6 riders will spend 25 minutes practicing hunting skills at each of four practice locations across the Misty River Territory. Each group will have an experienced MRH staff instructor (see attached flyer for group description). First Flight riders will practice a mock hunt (at a fast hunting pace) and flying over coops with field master Linda Brown. Second Flight riders will practice a mock hunt going through gates instead of jumping. Whether you are new to the sport or already a member, this is your chance to school a young horse, practice for the upcoming season, take a refresher course on hunt skills and etiquette, or just come and support the kennel fund.

Directions: from Fayetteville, Hwy. 45 east to Hwy. 412 east, driving past Huntsville exits to Ma & Pas Bent and Dent on the right. Turn left on CR 1648. Cross bridge, turn left on CR 1335. One mile to the Misty River Farm.
