UA Equine Science Students who participated in a semester-long in depth look at the Thoroughbred industry visited Lexington Ky at semester’s end. Students were given private tours of top TB stallion farms including Three Chimneys, Ashford, Darley, Gainesway, and Juddmonte. They visited world famous vet clinic Rood and Riddle where they had the opportunity to watch Dr. Larry Bramlage, DVM, MS, Dipl. ACVS perform surgery, were given a tour of KESMARC rehab center by the owner, visited the Secretariat Center, met with Preakness winner Rachel Alexandra’s former trainer Hal Wiggins and were given a tour of historic Calumet Farm by manager Bill Witman.
