Break & Run Drill TeamThe Break & Run Drill Team is a competitive equestrian drill team based in Poteau, OK, compromised of members of the Poteau Roundup Club. The team was formed to promote the love of horses and good horsemanship, while providing thrilling, fast-paced family entertainment for audiences.

Team members work together as best friends to encourage growth and improvement within the community while promoting the Poteau Roundup Club and events sponsored by this organizations.  The drill team performs at rodeos, parades, horse shows, and special events and are dedicated to promoting excellence in the sport of equestrian drill.
 
Break & Run rides under the colors of red, black, and silver. Red for passion, Black for danger, and Silver for energy and through these colors the team shares a love for the sport, a desire for the action, and a speed to thrill any audience.  Break & Run Drill Team takes pride in helping out the community and donating their time to special organizations.

Break & Run Drill Team showed their support for breast cancer awareness month by competing at the 3rd annual Barrel Race Against Cancer at the Lighting C Arena, in McAlester, Oklahoma, October 21. The team not only dressed their horses and themselves in pink, they also brought with them donations that they had been collecting.

National Breast Cancer Awareness month began in October 1985. Since then, people have organized luncheons, fashion shows, walks and a variety of other activities to help raise money for the fight against this indiscriminating enemy. Southeastern Oklahoma has added a unique event to this list, the Barrel Race Against Breast Cancer. Proceeds from the entry fees will be donated to the Tulsa Project Women Inc. This is a program that funds mammograms and breast cancer treatments for un-insured women. The money raised at this event goes to assist patients in Southeastern Oklahoma.
