Cowboy Mounted Shooting is the fastest growing Equine sport and once you see it in person you'll know why. The adrenaline action-packed sport is not only addictive it is a sport that the entire family can participate in!

Riders dressed in period Western wear, fire single-action revolvers (loaded with specially prepared blank ammunition) at 10 balloon targets while negotiating one of over 50 competitive patterns. The competition is scored by time and accuracy. There are classes for both Men and Women which are then divided into 6 different skill levels. For 1480033-1382148-thumbnail.jpgparticipants under the age of 13 there is the Wrangler division, this group uses cap guns for their "shooting".

Cowboy Mounted Shooting is also known for the camaraderie among its participants. Fellow shooters are more than willing to help one another and especially those new to the sport. They share their knowledge openly and operate with "Cowboy Courtesy". Among Cowboy Shooters safety is priority! Especially at competitions there are specific rules and guidelines that MUST be followed by participants.
