5 yr. old Haflinger gelding. 14 hh. Chestnut with flaxen mane/tail. Current coggins/vaccines/de-worming

As of Spring '09, Farmboy is broke to drive and green broke under saddle. He is being worked both English and Western at this time. He has been through several horsemanship clinics with Mule Thornbrugh, and his training is ongoing. Once you establish trust he bonds and will seek out those he trusts for affection and attention.

Farmboy has proven himself to be steady under many circumstances where most horses might bolt, spook or become reactive. He handles road riding, traffic, headlights, dogs, cattle, clipping, all in stride. He stands well for the farrier, ties, loads, bathes, sprays, etc.

As the breed is notorious for, Farmboy is an easy keeper. To avoid excessive weight gain his time on lush pasture must be limited. He has done well being allowed to graze 12 hours a day and then be put up, no grain for this boy. His feet are excellent and wear naturally when barefoot (as he is currently).

Farmboy will continue to undergo training at the ATH Center and his price will be adjusted as his training and experience do. He is charming, beautifully conformed and is well suited for a variety of disciplines. He will suit a rider of almost any size in spite of his height as he is incredibly sturdy and strong, typical of his breed.
