cur-pups.jpgAt least we’re pretty sure they’re Black Mouth Curs (aka Southern Cur, Yellow Blackmouth Cur, American Blackmouth Cur, Red Blackmouth Cur, Ladner Blackmouth Cur, etc.).  They were found on May 18, abandoned on a dirt road east of Fayetteville just outside
city limits.  They are now about 9-11 weeks old, de-bugged, wormed and are starting to put on some weight.  Probably litter mates (a  male and a female), they are very friendly, affectionate and playful.   Pictures of the pups are below with links to info about Blackmouth Curs – you decide for yourself.   Call (in Fayetteville) 521-8624 if you’re interested in adopting.  They are very attached to each other so we’d like to place them together in one home.

Blackmouth Curs are known for their loyal temperament. They are protective of their family and property when needed. They hunt well with other dogs when properly socialized. This is an active breed that needs to be well-exercised. They are quick learners and have a burning desire to please their master. Consistent training will generally yield positive results. Harsh tones are used more effectively than corporal punishment with Blackmouth Curs.
