2004 Buyer Talks About UA Time To Play
![]()
UA Time To Play (Eli)We bought Eli (UA Time to Play is his registered name) as a weanling at the 2004 Razorback Roundup. His sire was Play Acting out of Playgirl's Conclusion and Sister Act, and his dam was Tonya's Cactus Girl who was also sold in the sale the same year. At the time of the sale, Eli could carry a bit, pony saddle with a dummy, do an obstacle course and load in a trailer. We continued his ground work at home and by 18 months could work him in a round pen, saddle him, put on a bridle, sit on him, load him and have his feet trimmed by the farrier. Eli has been extremely easy to work with. He is very kind and easy to teach. He is always the first one to come to us when he is out in the pasture. He loves to be groomed and talked to. We have 2 other horses and he gets along great with them and loves our cat, Chester. We also have dogs who are his friends too.

Eli trail riding on the Buffalo River At age 2, we sent Eli to a trainer for 60 days. Although we had saddled and sat on him, my husband and I preferred to have a professional have him for his first ride. After getting Eli back from the trainer, I immediately began taking him on weekly trail rides with Cowgirl Up. Now Eli is 3 years old and is already a seasoned trail horse. He will do anything we ask of him on the trails and he is very confident. My husband and I have taken Eli and my other trail horse on several campouts. Eli has been trailriding all over Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri. He has been camping at the Buffalo National River, Horse Heaven in Oklahoma and Pine Grove in Leslie Arkansas. Overall, my husband and I have been very happy with Eli. He is an awesome horse and a joy to own. Eli now stands around 15.3 hands and is still growing. We are very proud to own a U of A baby and look forward to many, many years with this awesome horse.
